Michael Giles
Michael is the firm’s principal criminal lawyer. His experience and abilities as a criminal lawyer are enhanced with his 24 years experience as a police officer and investigator.
Michael has a Bachelor of Arts Degree (1997) from the University of Canberra with majors in law and Human Resources Management. He also holds a Graduate Law Degree (1999) from the University of New England, as well as a number of other certificates and diplomas.
Michael has a wealth of experience in dealing with all types of criminal matters including children's, local, licensing, coroner's, district and supreme courts.
Rick Alterator
Dr Rick Alterator has 35 years experience as a doctor and also practices as a lawyer. His main interests are criminal law and medical negligence. He has developed and expanded his expertise both in Sydney and remote rural areas. Consequently you can be assured of a focused response to your legal needs in the criminal and medical negligence areas of law.
Rick holds Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degrees from the University of NSW and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of New England. Like all doctors and lawyers he is constantly engaging in continuing educational programs to maintain and advance his knowledge.
Roger
Firth
Roger, our law clerk, is another team member with Bluewater Legal and comes to the firm with an abundance of skills. He is completing his legal studies to be admitted as a lawyer in late 2009.
He is conversant in criminal and family law.
He has a broad understanding of the legal system.
His legal skills are a direct result of his many years working in the real world.
Roger covers both Port Macquarie and Kempsey.
